It was one HOT day a couple of weekends ago over in Essex! Probably the best weather I’ve had, so far, all season. So what’s a better way to spend a day like this other than getting married, a dip in a pool and watch a fantastic aerial stunt show!? Well that’s exactly what Helen & Oliver had planned for their wedding. All though I have visited all of the Talbooth & Milsom’s properties I’ve never had the chance to shoot at one of the venues. I always had massive expectations of these venues for weddings and I am pleased to say they lived right up to them. It was great to see the kidsRead More »
I was told that the Stoke by Nayland Hotel was extremely popular for weddings, however for me, this was my first time attending a wedding there! I love small weddings, everything’s much more intimate, the day is far more relaxed and the guests always treat me like one of the family. It is of course a lot harder to blend in and be unobtrusive when there are only a few people in the room but with a lot of practice and trust you get some amazing photos. My two fav’s from the day are the intimate moment between the mother of the bride and the bride leaning heads on to each otherRead More »
Its been a busy start to this season, with many enquiries coming through and lots of clients taking advantage of the 20% discount currently available on all standard packages.
I was at Vaulty Manor’s exclusive open day yesterday which was great. I met lots of potential couples and the feedback I received from everyone about my work that was on display was amazing! I really was overwhelmed. Especially the couples who had already booked photographers – they were just as complimentary as those who were ready to book!Read More »
I am pleased to say that I will be present at Vaulty Manor’s open day on April 22nd 2012. This is a great chance to view not only a fantastic venue that boasts amazing service but to view a great selection of my work as well as other helpful wedding vendors.
This is an appointment on event and I highly recommend contacting Vaulty Manor to book your space! I hope to see you there!Read More »
Another new venue to add to my list. Gaynes Park in Essex is a wonderful place to tie the knot. I was completely spoilt for choice with the amount of areas I could use to take images. This fantastic venue was the setting of Tracy & Tony’s day. With a little bit of drizzle (I keep being told it’s supposed to be good luck!) the day went off without a hitch, can’t wait to go back again and see the wonderful venue staff and taste some more of that amazing food!Read More »
Looking down the barrel of 200mm lens 10ft away from a couple at the alter allows you to really study someone’s personality. You get a real sense of the intimacy between the two when your vision is tunnelled down to a head and shoulders shot and the rest of the world is blocked out. Jenny & Nicolas both beamed with happiness, at a time when most are shaken with nerves. I could have clear a good sized memory card on the ceremony alone with all the joy and expressions that happened. It’s great when you get to see two people who just bounce off each other. Take a look…Read More »
One of the best parts of my job is when you turn up to shoot a wedding and you’re treated like one of the guests. The stress levels drop somewhat, you relax more; have a great time and every photo you shoot ends up looking amazing. It’s even better when the registrars let you take phones whenever you like and the venue owner welcomes you with open arms! That was the scene at Vaulty Manor a couple of weeks ago and if you can’t tell I had a whale of a time. I’ll let the images do the talking… Thank you to Sarah & Steven for allowing me to be a part of their amazing day.Read More »
I was recently at the Kingscliff Hotel in Clacton, Essex to shoot Claire and Richards winter wedding. Although freezing, Richard and Claire braved it for a quick trip across the road to the shore line for a chance to capture some fantastic shots when no one was about. I hope you like them guys!Read More »
