I have a feeling that this is the post many have been waiting for. You may have seen me post a shot or two from this wedding on my Twitter or Instagram feeds, so I hope I haven’t spoilt it for too many! Say, Hello to Allan & Tracey. These two wonderful people probably pushed the boat out more than most when it came to planning their big day. I was contacted by them a few months back in which I remember being told that they had a very specific request with regards to their wedding photography

Felixstowe. The biggest part I remember was Allan and Tracey both agreeing that ‘if nothing else happens, this is what we want’. No pressure then!

That ‘what’ happened to be this; they wanted the bride & groom portraits taken under moonlight on the cliff tops in Felixstowe….Gulp! Not only this, but they has also planned their entire wedding day around having these photos taken. Including; Wedding Breakfast before the ceremony and an 8PM Ceremony start time. Which meant we could depart shortly after the first dance (which happened directly after the ceremony) in order to make the most of the time we had to take portraits.

Now, as I am sure any photographer worth his penny’s will tell you; in photography you need light and when you have none, taking images becomes very difficult. Now to cut a long story short, some time around midnight we finished and I was very happy with what I had achieved. No only because I knew I had captured what Allan & Tracey wanted, portraits under moonlight, but because I had a plan to capture something greater that night which I knew they would love…Ever seen the Milky Way trailing in the sky above a Bride & Groom’s heads? Not many have, until now…
