I was offered the chance to capture Amy andChirs’ wedding at Vaulty Manor in Essex in January. It’s a brave couple who opt to marry in January! As expected the weather on the day was not ideal. Broken showers lead the way throughout the day and there was a fierce chill in the air. Luckily Vaulty Manor has plenty of space indoors to allow photographers to set up group shots. The newly refurbished on-site house has also given a multitude of places to take photos of the happy couple. Amy and Chris were braver than most who plan their wedding at this time of year. They opted to venture out in the rain to make the most of the wintery scenery at the venue.

The absolute best part of a winter wedding at Vaulty Manor is how the grounds are lit up at night time. Winter is the perfect time to capture night time photos as the nights draw in closer. As it is darker earlier on in the day (and had stopped raining at this point) we really made the most by taking some time to capture some sparkler shots on the driveway.
