Gary & Kayleigh – Tudor Barn

Tudor Barn in Belstead was the location for the very chilly wedding of Gary & Kayleigh. Lots of travel involved with this particular day over three separate locations, certainly enough to keep me on my toes! I first met up with the lovely Kayleigh and her Bridesmaids at Fynn Valleys luxury cottages on the outskirts of Ipswich. Hair and makeup was in full swing by my longtime friends in industry Mandy and Ali who are an amazing duo to have around! It was a very giggly affair with no nerves at all! A very relaxed time spent capturing all the getting ready shenanigans!

It was then off to St Mary & St Peter Church in Barham – which unfortunately, no photography was allowed in the church. Although I had been pre-warned that this would be the case I though I may be able to use my charm to bring the Vicar around. Not so easy! Due to very poor etiquette of past inexperienced photographers disrupting the ceremonies a all out ban had been introduced.  This is only the second time in my 15 years have I have known this to happen. Which is a massive shame. Maybe a sign of things to come with more and more inexperienced people crashing the wedding industry offering substandard practices.

After the church services it was off to Tudor Barn in Belstead. A beautiful hidden gem just off the A12 Copdock turning. Because of the time of day and the fading light we quickly got through the group shots with the help of the the Maid of Honor – Police Officers always seem to be the best people to help organise groups! I think I may offer her a job if she wants one.

Once the wedding breakfast had finished the evening was kicked off with James from The Essex DJ’s who kept the right amount of cheese playing through the night to keep the guests showing off there old Macarena dancing skills.
